Jimmy Stables Obituary

BLUEFIELD- Jimmy Darrell Stables, 65, of Bluefield, formerly of Lashmeet, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025. Born March 28, 1960, in Mullens, he was the son the late Thomas Tyler Stables and Nancy Grey Stables. Jimmy loved to spend time with family and friends; especially family gatherings and cook-outs. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and shooting pool. He worked many years in manufacturing coal mining equipment. He will always be remembered as a loving, caring person who was willing to do anything for anyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charmaine Midkiff Stables; two brothers, Midge Stables and Timmy Stables; one sister, Patty Tickle; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. His survivors include his sister, Linda Lane of Bluefield; nieces, Terry Shrewsbury of Bluefield, Sherry Shrewsbury and companion Jason Tooley of Princeton, Nancy Wood and husband Dave of Florida, Tonya Stables of Lashmeet, Sheena Stables of Parkersburg; and Angel Cox of Christiansburg; nephews, Tommy Shepherd of Matoaka, Timmy Tooley and wife Savannah of Welch, and Raven Tooley and companion Kenzie Hall of Athens; and a host of cousins and friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services at the funeral home. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
