Juanita Amos

PETERSTOWN, WV – Juanita W. Amos, age 77, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Summers Healthcare Center in Hinton, WV. Born August 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Letha Wright Williams. Juanita was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a homemaker who loved to read, paint, and sew. Also, she enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Lindside. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Amos; infant son, James Andrew Amos Jr.; and brother, Donnie Williams. Survivors include her children, Lisa Phillips of Peterstown, WV, Sherry Jones of Radford, VA, Missy Phillips and husband Chris of Snowville, VA, and Jimmy Amos and wife Denise of Lindside, WV; eight grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Additionally, the family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Summers Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Jimmy Amos officiating. Burial will follow at Swope Cemetery in Lindside, WV. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
