Larry Cook Obituary

Larry Allen Cook, age 78, of Marlinton, West Virginia, passed away on July 24, 2025. Born in Cass, WV on August 21, 1946, Larry spent many years in Virginia and Georgia working before returning to West Virginia, where he continued to enjoy time with family and friends. Larry was a dedicated worker and was known for his strong work ethic. He had a special way of showing love-always picking and teasing those he cared about, leaving everyone around him smiling. He cherished visiting with loved ones, and time spent with family was always what mattered most. He is survived by his daughters, Lori Kidd (Kenneth) and Samantha Madison (Samuel); his grandchildren, Jessica Gladwell, Matthew Kidd (Casey), Austin Pritt, Kimberly Robinson (Quinten), Erin Martin (David), and Alivia Lawson (Wade); and a bundle of great-grandkids who brought him so much joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Ellen Prater, Monroe Cook, and Estelle Flawd. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Olive Cook, and his brother, Roger Cook. Honoring his wishes after cremation and burial a celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at Lantzfuneralhome.com.
