Marie Ball Pruitt

Marie Ball Pruitt, age 91, of Cedar Bluff, VA, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at her home. Marie was born on April 2, 1934, in Russell County, VA, and was the daughter of the late Virgie Ball Howard. She was a graduate with an associate degree in licensed practical nursing and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; who will be missed by all her family and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Pruitt, sister, Dollie Mae Belcher, brother, Burl Ball, and daughter-in-law, Donna Jo Pruitt. She is survived by: Her Sons: Larry Dale Pruitt of Rosedale, VA Kenneth W. Pruitt and wife, Phyllis of Lenior City, TN Son of the Heart: Mark Dye and wife, Kinta of Newport News, VA Also surviving are six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Graveside services for Marie Ball Pruitt will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Greenhills Memory Gardens; Building #1 at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Interment will follow.
