Mark Steven Tabor

Mark Steven Tabor, age 58, of Bandy, Virginia, passed away at the Tazewell Community Hospital on Friday, October 10, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Mark was born on February 6, 1967, in Bluefield, West Virginia, and was the son of Brenda Sue Lockhart Tabor and the late Bernard Everett Tabor. Mark was a graduate of Tazewell High School and then attended SVCC to become certified as a Welder/Fabricator. He worked for many years for J&S Enterprise and for the last twelve years for Clinch River Corporation. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying the outdoors and spending time in nature. He was a die-hard Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was serious in nature and held himself to very honorable standards. Hard work should have been his middle name; he had worked hard most of his life to provide for his family. Mark was very family-oriented and loved spending time with his sons and family. Once his illness struck him, he had to learn to occupy his time by doing crosswords and playing online Pool Billiards. He was a lifelong resident of the area and will be genuinely missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Lynn Tabor.
