Mary E. Price Lewis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mary E. Price Lewis, who left us peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on September 17, 1930 in Bluefield, WV. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother/great grandmother and aunt.

Mary was proceeded in death by her late husband Walter Lewis, her children Gloria West, Kathleen Wiggins, Jessie Thorpe and Robert "Jerome" Price, (parents: Mattie Lou Robinson Wallace, and Paul Wallace, Sr. and siblings: Rev. Paul Wallace, Jr. Richard Wallace, Harry Wallace, William "Billy" Wallace, Mattie Gardner, Luther Gardner, and Willie Marie Gardner and grandson McKinley Stevens).

Mary is survived by her children Brenda Carter, McKinley Price (Janet), Carolyn Bland (Larry), Betty Franks, and Donnette Dixon. A host of grandchildren/great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Lord allowed Mary to see 4 generations within her lifetime.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother/great grandmother and aunt. She was a treasured mother to her children and a kind and loving person to all she met.

Mary created a nurturing home for her family, while showing kindness, strength and unwavering support and will be deeply missed by her loved ones and those who knew her. Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate the remarkable life she led and the many memories we hold dear.

Mary devoted her life to Christ at an early age. Growing up she attended North Side United Holliness Church where she served on the Missionary and Usher Board along with many other functions within the body of the church. She enjoyed creating floral arrangements and creating beautiful home décor. She was a giver who loved to share with others the many blessings that she received. She truly was an excellent cook who loved to feed everyone in the community. We could go on and on about our mother, but it would be too much to mention. We are grateful that the Lord extended his grace and mercy to us, her children to grow up and older with our mom.

Please join the family in celebrating Mary's life on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at North Side United Holliness Church / House of Prayer, Inc. (214 Church Street, Bluefield, WV) at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluefield, WV. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday.
