Myles Bailey Obituary
PRINCETON - Edward Myles Bailey was born on April 23, 1941, to the union of Estell and Nova Bailey, in Lamar, Wyoming County, WV. He moved to Speedway, WV, in the 1960's with his young bride, Linda.
Myles accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Oakvale, WV. He attended Painters Chapel where he served as worship leader and Sunday School Teacher; and Lerona Methodist. Those that knew Myles will forever remember his love for the Lord, his powerful heartfelt prayers and his constant faith.
Myles enjoyed conversations "drinking coffee at the station" with friends, family picnics in "the county", spiritually witnessing to others, squirrel hunting and smoking his pipe.
Myles received his education at the former Herndon High School. After graduation he was employed in construction as a welder. After marriage, he began his career with the former GTE (General Telephone) and retired from Citizens Communications in Princeton where he served as an Installer Repairman, Lineman and Drafting Engineer.
Myles departed his life on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda and their son, Brian Edward Bailey; brother, Bob Bailey; and sister, Bonnie Underwood.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Michele Leigh Bailey of Speedway; his grandchildren Faith Bailey and Cristian Myles Adkins aka "Buck"; brother, Amos Bailey and wife Betty; sister, Betty Harman; along with his furry companions Chock-O and Lil Bear. Also, in mourning his adopted son, Woody "the Doc" Khan, his wife Ruby and their children Amna, Sher and Mariam.
Caring for my dad was never a burden-it was my way of saying thank you with love, not just words. Every meal prepared, every hand I held, every late night spent by his side was a small reflection of the countless ways he had cared for me all my life. It was an honor, a gift, to give back even a fraction of the love and strength he had poured into me. I will never see those moments as a sacrifice-only as love, circling back to the man who gave me everything. You will forever remain in my heart your daughter, Michele.
Papaw: you were more than just a grandfather; you were a friend, mentor, and a constant source of love and laughter. I cherish the memories I made with you: the stories you told, the lessons you taught me, and going to Sweet Frog and the pawn shop. I will always strive to make you proud. And yes, Ma did get me the dirt bike. With unconditional love, Buck
Papaw: thank you for being an inspiration to my life. Thank you for being more than my grandfather. Tell Mamaw that I love her. I love you, Faith.

For you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
