Ricky Austin Day

LINDSIDE, WV - Ricky Austin Day, age 64, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at his home in Lindside, W. Born June 30, 1961, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of Billie Jo Nance Day and the late Bobby A. Day. Ricky was a member of the Orchard Christian Center in Ballard. He taught and coached archery for Monroe County Schools for several years. He enjoyed the outdoors, and especially loved hunting. He also enjoyed hiking and biking. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kelly Day. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Pamela Reynolds Day; two daughters, Tonya Gordon and husband Brent of Kellysville, WV and Katrina South and husband Brian of Peterstown, WV; four grandchildren, Rileigh Harden and husband Cassell, Austin White, Braelyn Gordon, and Ryker Gordon; one sister, Vickie Miller and husband Bill of Peterstown, WV; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Rusty Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Bozoo, WV. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
