Sophia Faye Darghty, age 11, danced into Heaven on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. A child taken too soon, her impact has affected many. Sophia loved going to Mountain Kids Camp, participating in the fun activities, and playing with her friends. She enjoyed going to Vacation Bible Schools around the area and joining in on the fun and fellowship. She was born on March 26, 2014, to James Richard Darghty and Alishia Sheets of Richlands, Virginia. Sophia was known for her kind spirit and infectious laughter. Her loving personality touched everyone she met. In addition to her parents, Sophia's memory will be carried on by: Her Sisters: Hayley Sheets, Olivia Darghty, and Brooklyn Darghty Brothers: R.J. Sheets, Asher Darghty, Landon Willis, and Austin Darghty Paternal Grandfather, Richard Darghty Maternal Grandmother, Anna Marie Smith Funeral services for Sophia Faye Darghty will be conducted on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hurst Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, VA. Pallbearers will be relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of the service.
