Elder Jerry Wayne Conley 1949- 2025 Jerry Wayne Conley, a beloved minister and family man, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on November 30 1949, Lexington, Kentucky Jerry lived a life marked service, faith and unwavering devotion to his community and family.
Elder Conley established Cheyenne Apostolic Church in 1988, where his guiding spirit and steadfast beliefs touched the lives of countless individuals. His commitment to his faith and the spiritual well-being of others will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Elder Conley proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his dedication to his country and community. This service, much like his ministry, showcased his deep sense of responsibility and caring for those around him.
Elder Conley is survived by his loving wife, Glenda J. Conley, who stood by his side throughout their life together. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, embodied by his children, Theresa Keith (Steven) and Anthony Conley (Larissa), as well as his daughter-in-law, Jenell Stites (Daniel). Elder Conley was a proud grandfather to Dallas Keith, Nathan Conley, Crystal Keith, Jaden Conley, A'Lexus Lambright, Axel Conley, Zachery Conley, and Maverik Conley. The joy of his life extended further with the addition of great-grandchildren Knox Keith, Merideth Keith, and Navy Lambright, who will carry on his memory for generations to come.
He also leaves behind siblings Roy Conley, Richard Conley, Bob Conley, and Patsy Garza, along with numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him and will deeply miss his presence.
Elder Conley was preceded in death by his father, George Lester Conley, and his mother, Maggie Conley. He was also preceded by his son, Timothy Conley, and his siblings Thomas Josh Conley, Larry Conley, Timothy Conley, and Pauline Bowling. They, along with the many others who knew and loved him, will greet him in the afterlife.
A viewing for Elder Conley will be held on November 14, 2025, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Cheyenne Apostolic Church, located at 4521 Christensen Rd, Cheyenne, WY 82009. A Celebration of Life will take place on November 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cheyenne Apostolic Church with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
Elder Conley's legacy of faith, love, and leadership will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. His spirit will always be a guiding light for his family, friends, and the community he served so passionately. He will be profoundly missed.
