Louise Scheel Obituary

Louise Ethel (Wisroth) Scheel 1930- 2025 Louise Ethel (Wisroth) Scheel of Pine Bluffs, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dedicated servant of the Lord, was called home peacefully by her Heavenly Father on October 11, 2025, at Kimball Health Services in Kimball, NE. She was 95 years old.

Louise Scheel was born on January 20, 1930, in Kimball, NE, to Henry and Ethel (Karlstrum) Wisroth. Her deep faith was nurtured early, as she was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns, Wyoming. After graduating from Pine Bluffs High School in 1948, she married Dale E. Scheel on March 29, 1950. They farmed and ranched together northwest of Pine Bluffs until moving to be closer to town in 1997.

Louise found immense joy in her garden, where her green thumb transformed their home; she spent countless hours planting hundreds of flowers and trees. She was well-known in the community for her time driving the school bus, and she held a special affection for white kitties and chickens.

Her life was a testament to her faith and commitment to the Grace English Lutheran Church. She was a vital and active member, where she shared her talents by teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, playing the piano & organ, and tirelessly serving with the Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).

Louise's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her son, Bryan (Doris) Scheel of Burns, WY, and her daughter, Cindy (Lloyd) of Bushnell, NE. She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Kristy (Chris) Culek, Erika Loy, Jennifer Scheel, Phillip (Shurie) Scheel, Erin (Beach) Graham, James Scheel, and Hildegard (John) Patzer. Her legacy continues through ten great-grandchildren: Makenna Culek & fiancé Tyler Magninie, Mitchell Culek, MaKayla Loy, MaKenzie Loy, Kaden Scheel, Alayna Scheel, Addison Graham, Michael Graham, Elizabeth Patzer, and Lee Patzer. She is also survived by her sister, Kathryn (Paul) Eisenbraun, nephews Luke (Shelley) Eisenbraun, Joel (Amantha) Eisenbraun, Dean (Pam) Beavers, Russell (Sheila) Beavers, multiple great-nephews and nieces, and sister-in-law Lucille Scheel of Pine Bluffs.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Scheel; her parents, Henry and Ethel Wisroth; brother Norman Wisroth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Don and Elnora Beavers; brother-in-law Lee Scheel; and niece Leola (Beavers) Beard. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 18th, at Grace English Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs with the Rev. Richard Boche officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery. The Family wishes to invite everyone to a light lunch back at the church following the internment.
