Robert Winston "Bob" Vreeland

Robert "Bob" Winston Vreeland 1957- 2025 Robert "Bob" Winston Vreeland, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 5, 1957, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Bob was the third son of Margaret Milburn and the late Walter Vreeland. From an early age, Bob displayed a sharp mind for business and an even sharper wit - traits that would serve him well throughout his life and career.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Bob began his career running movie theaters (including the Ogden, Bluebird, and Lincoln Theater) before moving into the restaurant industry. He successfully owned and operated the Burger King franchises in Cheyenne and Scottsbluff, Nebraska. His leadership and endless work ethic carried him through management roles at various restaurants before he joined Magic City Enterprises in Cheyenne.

Yet the restaurant world called him back and he purchased the local Godfather's Pizza in 2016. Bob successfully ran the restaurant for nearly a decade with his nephew, Robert Rucker, and a crew that were more like family than employees. "Bob gave me my first job" or "I used to work for Bob" are common conversations his family continues to hear. For Bob, the restaurants weren't just a business; they were places where bellies were filled, friendships were made, stories were told, and community was built.

Bob married his wife, Faith, in 1996, and together they continued to build their life in Cheyenne. He was previously married to Lisa (Hain) Milster, with whom he shares two children, Tara Vreeland Bittick and Ryan Vreeland.

Those who knew "Uncle Bob" will remember his kind and generous spirit, his quick humor, and his endless "Bob-isms" that could make anyone laugh. "What's the number one rule? Don't go to jail." He was optimistic, clever, stubborn in the best way, and always ready with a good-natured prank. Beneath his jokes was a man with a heart of gold - humble, loyal, and deeply compassionate. Bob had a soft spot for anyone in need and quietly helped others more often than anyone will ever know.

He loved classic rock (his kids fondly recall his love of AC/DC and Joan Jett), country, and even a touch of classical music while he worked. He (pretended) to enjoy working on his old vehicles and tractors, spoiling his grandsons, attending and supporting Cheyenne Frontier Days events with his daughter, and "Tuesday Talks" with his son. A good evening for Bob was watching the news or a movie at home and, of course, with a cold beer in hand.

Bob's legacy lives on through those who loved him most: his wife, Faith Vreeland; daughter, Tara (Matt) Vreeland Bittick; son, Ryan Vreeland; stepdaughter, Melissa Newton; grandsons, Owen and Grant Vreeland; mother, Margaret Milburn; brothers, Kevin "Casey" Vreeland, Tim Vreeland, Glynn Orwick, and Chris Orwick; sister, Allison Rucker; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who felt like family. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Vreeland, and his oldest brother, Jim Vreeland.

A public Celebration of Life will be held on what would have been Bob's 68th birthday - Friday, December 5, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Godfather's Pizza in Cheyenne, where family and friends are invited to stop by to share memories, laughter, and stories that capture the spirit of the man who impacted so many.

Bob lived with honesty, humor, and heart - values he passed on to everyone lucky enough to know him. Though he has gone from our sight, his love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever. "Be Good, Be safe. Enjoy Life and those you let in it!"
