Ron was born on October 5, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Accounting from the University of Wyoming, where he developed a lifelong passion for learning and excellence. He began his professional career with McGladrey Hendrickson CPAs and later became an officer and co-owner of Fassett Nickle Ford Toyota, where he was known for his integrity and leadership.

A man of many interests, Ron had a deep passion for family history. He spent years thoughtfully researching and documenting his family's lineage, compiling extensive binders to preserve their stories for future generations. He was also an avid reader and built an impressive personal library, which he later donated to the Gilbert Library System to benefit others. Ron enjoyed traveling and capturing his adventures through photography, and he loved playing cards, especially Texas Hold'em and blackjack with friends and family.

Ron had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. He found joy in golf, fishing, skiing, and tennis. He was also committed to serving others and volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Ron will be remembered for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and unwavering kindness, as well as the deep loyalty he showed as a friend and brother.

He is survived by his son, Eric P. Stephen (Rick) (Lisa M) of Cheyenne, WY; his brothers, Kenneth Stephen of Gilbert, AZ, and Jim Stephen (Lisa R) of Cheyenne, WY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Mary C. Stephen, and his brothers, Richard T. Stephen and Robert E. Stephen.
