JAMESTOWN — Herbert Glenn Morris, 79, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 6, 2016 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Mason) Morris. Herb was born in Jackson, Kentucky. He and Nancy settled in Jamestown, Ohio. His surviving children are Roger (Kim) Morris, Steven (Lori) Morris, Keith (Kim) Morris, Lisa (Charles) Fiske, Vickie Price, Theresa (Dan) Halder, and Misty Guthrie (Terry) Urton. He was a proud grandparent of 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents: James and Hazel Morris, a brother, Alvin (Linda) Morris; a son-n-law, David Parsons, and an infant son, Rodney Allen Morris. Survived by siblings, James (Carol) Morris, William (Janie) Morris, Dorothy Benedict, and Paul (Sue) Morris. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He will be dearly missed by his favorite pups, Puddin' and Daisy. Herb was retired from General Dynamics, Lima, Ohio in 1995. He was an avid lover of hunting with his boys, gardening, and all things outdoors. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2016 at The First Church of Christ, 441 Ledbetter Road, Xenia, Ohio. Friends may call on the family Thursday, December 8th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church and again Friday one hour prior to the time of service. Burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, Ohio. Services in care of McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc.
