JAMESTOWN — Richard T. Moore, 75, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 14, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Samuel and Catherine (Hartlage) Moore. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfather, B.A.McEneny, his loving wife, Judith A. Moore, a son, Charles A. Moore, a sister, Elaine Jones,andz a sister and brother-in-law Gerry and Joe Helle. He is survived by his children Patricia(Bradley) Chaney of Xenia, Terasa (Roy) Smith of Weatherford, OK, Richard A. (Alexa Bodley) of Dayton, OH, Wesley G. Moore of London, OH, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Janet Goodrich of Addieville, IL, brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Peggy Hollingsworth of St.Charles, MO., a special friend of the family Ronda Cox, his little dog Precious that he loved dearly, his very special friend, Doris, numerous nieces and nephews , friends, and all his wonderful neighbors that helped him in so many ways along with Pam and Vern Kingsolver. Richard served in the United States Navy. He was a member of New Jasper Fire Dept. from 1983 to 2011, retiring out as safety officer; was a member of the FOE#1689 Xenia in which he held multiple positions including Jr. Past President. He also held positions in the the F.O.E.Central Zone. He was a member (past vice president and treasurer) of the Red Nights Motorcycle Club #4, Red Nights Motorcycle Club Ohio Association, G.W.R.R.A., Chapter N2 (Quarter Master), Past Member of the G.W.T.A. and the American Legion #321 Illinois. He was a barber for 17 years at Scott Air Force Base, IL. He retired from F.K.G. Oil Co. after thirty plus years retiring as State Supervisor. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jamestown. Memorial visitation will be held Monday, January 20th, from 5-8 pm at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, January 21, at 10 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 44 E. Washington St, Jamestown , with Rev. We will truly miss Rich's humor, genuine friendship and company on our motorcycle trips, at church and in our home from time to time. He was a wonderful friend. May his family be comforted in this time of sorrow. We will miss him too!

Rich, was a very nice man! I worked with Rich while he worked at FKG Oil Company for close to twenty years and he always had a kind word to say, when he wasn't joking around.
