Ann Adams Obituary
Wrapped in the love of her family, Ann Weldon Adams, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, to be reunited with her husband of 52 years in Heaven.
Ann was born on January 9,1929 (96 and 8 months) to Susie Cannon Weldon and Dennis Franklin Weldon (Doc) in Nashville, Tennessee. Doc was a military and VA doctor who moved across the Southeast with stops in Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky before settling in Doc's home state of Georgia with Susie, Ann and Dennis, her dear older brother. She attended the Georgia State College for Women (Now Georgia College and State University) where she became a dietitian. Doc, Susie, and Dennis, all preceded her in death.
She met her future husband, Roy Adams, in Augusta, Georgia, and they married in 1959. They had two daughters, Susie Adams (Charlotte NC) and Sally Dendrinos (George, Lexington, SC) and one grandson, George Adam (Trey) Dendrinos also of Lexington, SC. Being a devoted wife and mom (and grandmother and dog grandmother) was the job she was born to do. She was nurturing, organized, challenging, encouraging, and always involved. They lived in Seneca, SC where they raised the girls. Family was their top priority always.
Ann and Roy relocated to Rock Hill in 2001 to live at Park Pointe Village in their golden years as some of the original residents. Roy died in 2010, and it was a devastating loss for the family. At that time, Ann committed to try to live another ten years because her daughters said they could not bear to lose her too. Always one to meet her commitments, she exceeded the decade by four years.
In widowhood, Ann was sustained by her family, friends and neighbors at Park Pointe Village where she enjoyed water aerobics and lunches in the dining room. She loved traveling to Clemson for sporting events and loved even more spring and fall trips to the North Carolina High Country. She also doted on her grandson, Trey. And she loved her grand dogs who visited often and loved her right back, especially when she was generous with her lap, kisses and treats (which was always).
In recent months as her health declined, she received exceptional care, delivered with love by the team at Willowbrooke Court who quickly became like extended family to her and her family.
She will be celebrated by family and friends on Saturday, September 6 at 2 pm at the Park Pointe Village Community Room (3025 Chesbrough Blvd, Rock Hill, SC). The family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to any of the following charities:
