Abraham F. "Abe" Brown Sr.

Abraham F. Brown, Sr. ETTERS Abraham F. "Abe" Brown, Sr., 43, of Newberry Township, died Friday, April 1, 2005, at Memorial Hospital. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York, with a viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Abe was born in York on May 11, 1961, a son of the late Melvin Brown, Sr. and the late Hazel (Bastress) Griffith. He was a truck driver for Penn Waste in York and was a member of the 9th Ward Social Club in York and the Goldsboro Fireman's Club. He served in the U.S. Army. Abe leaves his companion, Tammy Courtney; two sons, Abraham F. Brown, Jr. of Plainfield and Christopher Brown of Dover; and a brother, Melvin Brown, Jr. of Dover. A sister, Cathy Steck, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made c/o Melvin Brown, Jr., 2050 Temple School Road, Dover, PA 17315 to help defray final expenses.
