Albert W. Bitzer

YORK Albert W. Bitzer, 91, entered into rest on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Manor Care Kingston Court. He was the husband of the late Ima (Hanson) Miller Bitzer. He was born October 21, 1923, in Jenkintown, son of the late William and Belle (Witherow) Bitzer. Albert was WWll veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked for 30 years at Caterpillar as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, and was a choir member and choir librarian at the church. The services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, is assisting with the arrangements. Albert is survived by three stepsons, Arthur E. Miller, James E. Miller, and Glenn O. Miller; step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ima; brothers, Sidney, Roy, Bob, and Henry; and a sister, Perle.
