Albert T. Rudy Jr.

NEW OXFORD Albert T. Rudy, Jr., 87, formerly of York, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Cross Keys Village. He was the husband of Mary N. (Bierly) Rudy of York. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements. Albert was born in York, on April 27, 1928, a son of the late Albert T. Rudy and Amy B. (Messinger) Rudy. He graduated from York High class of 1946. Mr. Rudy was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War, and he did a tour in Japan and Korea. Albert was a serviceman first class for Met-Ed Electric, York Office, for 38 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, Millers, Md., and he was an avid golfer. Albert is survived by six sons, Mark L. Rudy of York, Brad A. Rudy and his wife, Jetty of Hellam, Bryan A. Rudy and his wife, Loraine of Manchester, Randy E. Rudy of York New Salem, Robert E. Ahrens and his wife, Nancy of Dover, and Terry L. Bosley and his wife, Loraine of Seven Valleys; a daughter, Cheryl A. Berlin and her husband, Kevin of Dover; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters.
