Amber Nicole Lentz

SAN ANTONIO, TX Amber Nicole Lentz, formerly of Red Lion, was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 1:36 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 23. She was born in York on April 10, 1992, and was the daughter of Tina L. (Weaver) Mostov and stepfather, Steven L. Mostov of Red Lion and Brian L. Lentz and his companion, Juanita Torres of York. Amber worked as a Housekeeping Aide at WellSpan York Hospital for four years and was a former volunteer in patient transport since the age of 15. Amber previously attended Harrisburg Area Community College where she was studying to become a surgical tech. She was a graduate of Dallastown Sr. High School Class of 2011. She attended Pleasant View Church in Red Lion and was a former member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in York. Amber was known for being sweet, caring and always being able to make others laugh. She was a friend to everyone and nothing stopped her from putting others needs before her own. She was full of life and always smiling with her headphones blaring to music. Amber loved to sing and dance all the time. She will be remembered forever as a loving daughter, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Matthew J. Mostov and Austin J. Lentz, both of Red Lion, and Jayden Lentz of York; two sisters, Brianna M. Lentz of Red Lion and Isabella Lentz of York; maternal grandparents, Norma J. (Streving) Rice of Hanover and Frances J. Weaver of McSherrystown; aunts and uncles, Joan E. Weaver of Abbottstown, Diane and Terry Hoover of Arizona, Barb and Chuck Bixler of Dover, Scott Lentz of Arizona, Alice and David Palacios of York; 10 cousins, Shannon R. Bushnell, Jason, Stacey, April, Miff, Adi, Dave Jr., Sergio, Jazmin and Javier; and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Janet M. (Dallmeyer) Lentz and William H. Lentz; and her aunt and uncle, Elaine and Mike Merica. A Memorial Service for Amber will take place on Sat., June 20, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Pleasant View Church, 10384 Winterstown Road, Red Lion, with Pastor Woodrow Harrison, assisted by Pastor Jay McWilliams officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
