April Mae Pierson

April Mae Pierson, 34, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 in York. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 Second Street, New Freedom. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the mortuary with the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Sims, pastor of Maryland Line United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery in Shrewsbury. April was born April 3, 1970 in Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pa. She is survived by two daughters, Marlei M. Pierson of Shrewsbury and K.C. Gulick of York; her father and stepmother, Jack and Pat Long of North Bend, Pa.; her mother and stepfather, Marlene F. and James Krebs of Shrewsbury; a stepgrandmother, Laura I. Krebs of Hampstead, Md.; two brothers, Jack Long, Jr. and Randy M. Long both of Hanover; two half brothers, R. Joseph Ragusa of Pottstown, Pa. and Timothy W. Long of Berlin, Md.; two stepbrothers, James Krebs, Jr. of Stewartstown and Tom Riggle of Warham, Mass.; and five stepsisters, Susan Stambaugh of New Windsor, Md., Debra Parry of Union Bridge, Md., Beth Walker of Dover, Tracy Embeck and Brandy Blackwell both of South Renova, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marlei Pierson and K.C. Gulick Trust Fund, c/o Marlene and James Krebs, 9 Golden Circle Lane, Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
