YORK Christel Y. (Ferguson) Thomas, 82, died, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late William A. Thomas. Born on October 16, 1932, in York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Fake) Ferguson. Mrs. Thomas retired from McCrory's Distribution Center, where she worked as a picker. Christel was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of York. Mrs. Thomas is survived by two sons, William J. Thomas and his , wife Debra of Manchester and Ted A. Thomas, Sr. of Dover; a son-in-law, Craig M. Stiles of York; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Hoffman and her husband, Mark. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan K. Stiles; and one brother and two sisters. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York. Followed by a 11 a.m. service at the funeral home with Pastor Skip Nizinski officiating.
