Daune Shinneman Obituary

Shinneman COCKEYSVILLE, MD Daune Mae (Fitzkee) Shinneman, 87, entered into rest at 8:15 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012, at Autumn Assisted Living in Cockeysville. She was the wife of Loren A. Shinneman, who entered into rest on July 3, 2007. She was born in Windsor, on May 8, 1925, and was the daughter of the late William and Susan V. (Bell) Fitzkee. Mrs. Shinneman was a homemaker, a wonderful mother who loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are one daughter, Lori A. Brown of Baltimore, Md., and husband, Jay; one son, Rand Dolph Welty of Felton; seven grandchildren, Spencer Blank, Shayna Blank, Amy Hershner, Erika Welty, Joseph Welty, Daniel Welty, and Randi Lynn Welty; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Mark L. Shinneman. There will be no viewing. Visitation will be Tuesday (today) from 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be at Red Lion Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd, St. 300, Frisco, TX 75034.

I was sorry to read about Daunes' passing. Must admit I lost track of her
since her husbands' passing. Fondly
remember she wonderful smile and how
she loved her family. Sincere sympathy
to Lorie and the rest of her family on her passing.
