Edward Guinn Obituary

EAST BERLIN Edward L. Guinn, 71, entered into rest at 3:15 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015, at his home. He was the loving husband of Sandra L. (Harman) Guinn. They celebrated 52 years of marriage on January 16, 2015. Born August 9, 1943, in Westernport, Md., Edward was a son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Watson) Guinn. He had 37 years of service as a foundryman for R.H. Sheppard Co., Inc., Hanover, and then owned and operated E & S Guinn shell core for nine years until he retired. Edward was a member of Seven Mountains Bluegrass Association (SMBA) and played guitar with Mt. Road Bluegrass Band. In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by four sons, James E. Guinn and wife, Tracy A. of York, Tony L. Guinn and wife, Ralynn K. of Mechanicsburg, Gary L. Guinn and wife, Dee A. of Hanover and Michael S. Guinn and wife, Casey L. of Dillsburg; eight grandchildren, David, Amanda, Lea, Alex, Bailey, Jacob, Grace and Dylan; two brothers, Robert and James Guinn; four sisters, Thelma Wagner, Ethel Dye, Shirley Smith and Sandy Riestte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Winkler and a brother, Donald Guinn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Edward's viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Paradise Holtzschwamm Union Cemetery, Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, 1500 Paxton St., Harrisburg, PA 17104; or Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
