Elyse "Lysee" Leigh Ritchie, 29, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2017 at her home. Born in Philadelphia on March 14, 1988, she was the loving daughter of Brian K. and Lisa M. (Lichty) Ritchie.
In addition to her parents, Elyse is survived by two brothers, Steven Ritchie and Brian Ritchie, Jr. both of York; her paternal grandmother, Margaret Ritchie; and her maternal grandparents, Jim and Darlene Lichty; and many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. Elyse was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Thurman Ritchie.
Elyse is a 2009 graduate of Yorkshire Academy at the York Learning Ctr., LIU #12. Everyone who met Elyse instantly fell in love with her, as Elyse was an angel and had an infectious smile and a warm heart. She would laugh at every sneeze, cough and dog bark. Elyse loved Elmo and Barney video's as well as any loud noisy toys, blocks and puzzles.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations to be made to The York County SPCA 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406 or Easter Seals Society Six Parkway Center, Suite 150, 875 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220, in Elyse's memory.
