Frederick J. Letzeisen

SOUTHLAKE, TX Frederick J. Letzeisen, 84, entered into rest Wednesday, November 19, 2014. He was the husband of Angela D. (Buscemi) Letzeisen for 61 years. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Richard Owens OFM Cap as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery with full military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Letzeisen was born March 13, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Frederick and Ruth (Winans) Letzeisen. He was a Senior V.P. of Underwriting, retiring from Ambac, Inc. following a 34 year career on Wall Street. He served in the U.S. Army 8605th during the Korean War. He was a member of the Benedictine Oblates at the St. Vincent's Arch Abbey in Latrobe, Pa. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, and the American Legion. Preceding him in death was his son, Thomas Letzeisen (married to Nina). Frederick is survived by his wife; children, Robert Letzeisen (married to Cynthia), Carolyn Letzeisen, and Lorianne Hartman (married to John); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Bradley; and nieces and nephews.
