Harold Luther Koontz, died in his home in York, January 2, 2018, due to complications following kidney cancer. He turned 85 on December 9.
Harold retired in 1985 from PA and S Small Co., York; he had also worked at Dolly Madison Inc., Gettysburg.
Harold Luther Koontz was the husband of the late Ella Mae (Woodring) Koontz, who were married in 1972.
Harold is survived by his son, Barry Koontz, and his two children, Jennifer and Darrell.
Step son, Robert Harper, Jr. and his wife, Sarah, and their children, Sarah Mae and Robert.
Step son, Thomas E. Harper and his wife, Catherine, and their children, Shelly, Stephen, Rebekah, and Thomas, Jr.
There will be a visitation 4 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh.) Remembrance and sharing will begin at 5:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
