York
Herbert J. Jacoby, 91, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Baer) Jacoby.
Mr. Jacoby was born in North York, September 17, 1924, son of the late William N. and Edith M. (Stough) Jacoby.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
He was owner and operator of the former Jacoby's Garage. He was a member of the York Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy L. Hinkle of Dover; four grandchildren, Eric Jacoby, Todd Jacoby, Craig Hinkle, and Gina Jacoby; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Klunk of York and Mary Scheckenbach of Roundtown; a brother, Wayne Jacoby of Stoverstown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven J. Jacoby; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh.) Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Fred Nowell. Final resting place will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. There will be a viewing from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York Church of Christ, 150 S. Manheim St., York, PA 17402.

Reat in peace. You are loved by many. Things wont be the same at country meadows. I loved seeing walking down the hall and u giving me a hug every time I seen you. U now can lay at peace with ur little chicken.
