I just found out from my family yesterday that Jane had passed. I was practically raised from the age of 10-18 by working for her and with her on the farm. She was both tough and tender and had the greatest laugh and will to live. Her passion for that land and for integrity and success of those around her is unmatched. Her gifts have been passed on in so many ways and carried on by many others. Like the orchards she nourished and nurtured, the fruit of her life will continue to blossom. My sincerest condolences are matched by my sincerest respect for Jane and all of those she has left behind (Garth, Don, and Jon). She taught us all how to live...even til the end.

With deepest sympathy to the family & friends. My parents knew her when I was growing up. When I went to visit, I called her "The Strawberry Girl." A couple summers, I helped picked strawberries for her. But between you & me, I ate more than I picked. So, I did not make very much money.

Garth,
No one knows the emotional loss you are feeling. Jane was a great people and business person. She knew her job well and would always go the extra mile. Our family goes way back when Joe (Dad) bought produce from us. On behalf of the John S. Brant Jr. family in Dallastown, we send our prayers, love and condolences on the loss of your sole mate, wife and friend.

We live across the orchard, and I remember her helping to find my dog...

I have had fond memories of Jane working on her father's orchard . Back in the day , my mother, father , and I would visit their orchards to purchase the best strawberries , apples , and whatever was in season . A special memory was when her father owned a monkey who seemed to quite enjoy eating the onions displayed in pecks on their docks . Jane was such a hard worker and knew the business well . Also I graduated with Gary . Not many people can say that they were married for 50 years to the same person . It was only last year when I stopped by to purchase produce. She still seemed so vibrant . I was only recently aware of her health issues . I wish her family the best !

I am so sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She truly was the "keeper of the orchard". I loved talking with her and dealing with her. My condolonces to the whole Raab Fruit Farm family.

I only had the great fortune of knowing Jane for a short time, but she was the most delightful, most caring lady! A beautiful light has gone out here on earth, but certainly a new very bright star will be shining forth from the heavens for all of us to see - Jane will be shining her star extra bright. May you rest in eternal peace and know every joy of Heaven.
To Gary, Don, Lil, and Oliver . . . . I am so very sorry for your profound loss. Bless you all at this most difficult time.
Sincere sympathy . . . .

I was so sad when I passed by the fruit farm on Saturday and saw the sign. You put up such a hard fight but now you're no longer in pain and for that I'm glad. I know the journey was difficult. I'll miss our talks. I looked forward to them every Saturday. I'll miss your smiling face at the farm, my friend but most of all I'll miss hearing you call me Trouble. I always chuckled when you would write my special order in the book and put it under Trouble never my name and everyone knew who it was for! I guess you knew even though I always tried to talk you out of believing it. Until we meet again rest easy my friend. My condolences to Garth and Don.
