Janet M. Shue

HANOVER Janet M. (Fornwalt) Shue, 85, of Homewood at Plum Creek, who was formerly of Glen Rock, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was the wife of Donald B. "Dutch" Shue whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Rev. John Trout officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Janet was born on May 14, 1927 in Highspire, a daughter of the late Harry Fornwalt and Marie (Decker) Fornwalt Yetter. She was the foster daughter of the late Charles and Martha Krieger. Mrs. Shue was employed over the years as a Laborer at the Glen Rock Steam Bakery, AMP, Inc., and Savada Brothers Sewing Company. She enjoyed cooking and spending time outside. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Glen Rock. She leaves behind three children, Sandra L. Greenplate and her husband Nevin of Seven Valleys, Judith A. Reed and her husband Steven of Sunbury, and Thomas L. Shue and his wife Charlene of Red Lion; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Bradley.
