Janet R. Strickler

YORK Janet Romaine Strickler, 85, of Springettsbury Township, died Friday morning, February 12, 2010, at her res idence. She was the wife of the late Stuart E. Strickler. Janet was born in Springettsbury Township, on June 9, 1924 a daughter of the late Chester A. and Nora E. (Sloat) Adams. She was a self employed beautician and an employee of the Paddock Restaurant. She was a member of Locust Grove United Church of Christ and the Leisure Group of the church. Mrs. Strickler is survived by two children, Pamela Elfner of York and Thomas Strickler of Hallam. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Steven Strickler, but is survived by five others. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Locust Grove United Church of Christ, 1035 Locust Grove Road, York. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Rick Stuempfle. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. A viewing will be Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
