Joan L. Mumma

YORK Joan L. Mumma, 65, of Springettsbury Township died Sunday, September 16, 2012, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Francis H. Mumma. Mrs. And Mr. Mumma observed their 47th wedding anniversary on August 1, 2012. Joan was born in Gettysburg on November 10, 1946, the daughter of the late Leslie and Mae (Minor) Staley. She was a supervisor at A&R Rentals and a 1964 graduate of Gettysburg High School. Joan was a member of the AMVETS. She loved to work in her garden, playing her piano and her pets. She also loved to read and go fishing. In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by two sons, Francis Milton Mumma of Dover and Jared M. Mumma of York; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Following cremation a memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. David E. Sutter officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
