JoAnn and Ed immediately made you feel like part of the family. They will be greatly missed. We were fortunate to receive Christmas stockings that were hand-knit by JoAnn for our wedding and the birth of each child. The thoughtful gift has been a central part of our Christmas celebration for decades. They are a cherished reminder of JoAnn and Ed's graciousnessness, incredible humor, warmth and hospitality. We were blessed to know them. Our sympathy goes out to their equally incredible family. We are sending thoughts of warmth and comfort your way.

Ed and Joann Ream were two of the most amazing and wonderful people I have ever known. They provided so many people with getaways to their home on the bay. Their hospitality and pantry supplies never seemed to end! Water fun, fishing, crabbing, board games and tons of laughter. Oh the stories!! So grateful they were a part of my life.
Praying for peace and comfort for the family during this time.

Ed and Joann used to come to my home in Cambridge for scripture study. I learn so much from them. They were always so kind to me and my family. They will be missed by so many at St. Mary's Refuge of Sinners. I will put the family in my prayers.

So thankful for all the important little things Aunt JoAnn did to make life special. From teaching me to properly (and efficiently) pick crab to the crisp $1 bills at all the fun holidays. She made special memories for me and my son. Rest In Peace Aunt JoAnn.

So sorry to hear of Joann and Ed's passing. Such a fine couple, always showing their love for each other and for our Christian Community at St. Mary's Refuge of Sinners in Cambridge. I guess it is fitting that they should pass so close together as they WERE so close. May God wrap His loving arms around their family and give them peace.

Joann was a great sister-in-law who let me babysit her many little kids out in the woods. We always had a good time and she was very kind to me. Through the years I’ve thought of her many times especially when she and Ed lost a child. Ed and Joann were always a loving and happy couple who were able to have many good years together.

Dear Bud, Lisa, Michele, Karen, Matt & Chris,
Some of my fondest memories are of growing up in your family ... sitting around the dinner table laughing, riding in the big station wagons, the “monkey vines”, sledding at night — the list goes on and on. My deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time. May loving memories bring you peace.
