John Weaver Obituary

DANVILLE, CA John W. Weaver passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009. He was born September 7, 1924, the dear son of the late Norman Henry and Grace Annette (Sheffer) Weaver. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dr. George Weaver and Dr. Jay Weaver of York. John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia; daughter, Lee Ann Wilton, her husband, Steve, and their children, Scott, Jeff, Charlotte, and Abigail, all of Westchester, Ohio; son, Mike Weaver and his children, Grant and Alex, all of Houston, Texas; stepdaughter, Lorri Emmerich, her husband, Gary, and their son, Cory, all of Healdsburg, Calif.; stepson, Bob Estes, his wife, Kelly, and their children, Will, Zena, Valya, and Jack, all of Danville, Calif.; his sister, Nadine Trimmer of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. John took early retirement as Executive Vice President of Standard Oil of Kentucky to work for an independent oil trading firm in Houston, Texas, and later served as s bankruptcy trustee for the U.S. District Court in Houston before final retirement. He was an honors graduate in chemical engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, and served on their Board of Trustees. John was a member of the 25 Year Club of the Petroleum Industry; a 32nd Degree Mason, Louisville Lodge; and a member of the Shriners International, Kosair Temple, Louisville, Ky. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523; or the charity of your choice.
