Having flashbacks all day, a nightmare last night. I'm so sorry I couldn't do more to help, to give you another chance. I think about you every time I see a bike. I hope you are resting peacefully and happy. And when I get the money to, I will put flowers at your cross. I never knew you, and I did everything I could to save you, unsuccessfully, and I'm not the one who caused this pain, but I am so sorry that this happened. I wish I could have met you in a better way. Rest peacefully, for you are now one of God's angels.

The world was and is now a better place to the people who knew Jon. Even if it was brief, I knew Jon in school and he is one of those friends you just never forget. I can truly say he was an authentic great friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to Stacey, family, and his many, many friends!

When I think of Jon I think of someone who wasn't like a lot of people in school. He didn't see the labels a lot of people did. Jock, bandgeek, nerd, loser, pothead, drinker, basketcase, etc. Jon could talk to and hold a conversation with anyone. He looked at people and saw them for them, not some walking stereotype. If more people in this world had Jon's open minded and gregarious personality, it would definitely be a better place.
Sadly though, Jon and I didn't really keep in touch after school; but I did run into him now and again. He would come up to me and say hi and we would talk for a bit. Thinking back to times I bumped into him really helps me to truely believe that he kept true to himself. He was one of those people you always throw the cliche "don't ever change" at, but in his case it was very true. He brought a glow to a room and kept smiles on peoples' faces. Simply put, he was just a great person. Seeing how many people have been paying respect to him is a testament to that.
My heart goes out to his family, Stacy and anyone else honored to have him in their lives.

When I heard about your son's motorcycle accident, it stopped me in my tracks. I remember just shaking my head thinking this can't be true. Now, reading these wonderful letters about your family has made me realize how much similarity there is between you and your son. You both have touched people's lives in so many amazing ways. Jonah, I can't believe that I will not see you again my friend. I will not hear that goofy laugh. I will not see your passion for your teams, the Sox, Steelers and Pens. I will forever cherish your friendship. I am glad we had the times we had together. I regret missing the Burg Boys golf trip this year, but I will relish the last moments we had.
Please don't think about Jonah's passing, but celebrate that we got to spend the time we all got to spend together with him. Live life to the fullest as he did. Love your friends as he did.
