York
June R. (Gilbert) Myers, 92, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of Carlton C. Myers who died in 1965.
Mrs. Myers was born in York on June 1, 1924, daughter of the late Mose and Ruth (Mercer) Gilbert.
She was a graduate of York High. June was a member of St. Paul's Wolf's Church, York.
Survivors include, a daughter, Pamela J. Myers and her husband, Franklin of York Haven; a son, Terry L. Myers and his wife, Wendy of York; a granddaughter, Sheena M. Myers of York; three sisters, Joyce Mummert of East Berlin, May Gilbert Thorp and Janice Sewell, both of York; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Jack, Bill, Mose Gilbert, Jr., Joan Reynolds, Jean Simmons, Mim Hess and Rudy Waltman.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Final resting place will be in St. Paul's Wolf's Church Cemetery, York. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, South Central PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

I have thought about June so often over the years and lost contact. As a child I thought she was the most beautiful lady ever. I'm so sorry for your loss but, heaven has gained another angel and she can reunite with my mom.
