June H. Swartz

York - June H. (Sweitzer) Swartz, 83, passed away at 4:02 AM, Friday, November 30, 2018, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Franklin D. Swartz who passed away on July 14, 2018. They were married for 65 years.

June was born December 14, 1934 in New Cumberland and was the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Mae Jane (Naugle) Sweitzer.

She graduated in 1952 from North York High School in North York. She previously was employed by J.M. Fields Jewelry Department, PADE Auto Auction, Orkin Pest Control, and Raffensberger Flower and Gift Shop. She enjoyed sewing and various types of needlework, baking pies, reading, music, and being a mother, wife, and homemaker for a lifetime to her family. She was a member of Quickel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zions View and a former member of the White Rose Square Dancers.

June is survived by her daughter Kathy Dellinger and her husband Tim of Forestville, CA; her two sons, Michael Swartz and his wife, Marie of York, and Andrew Swartz and his wife Leigh Ann of York; 5 grandchildren; Jordan, Mackenzie and Emily Swartz, Sarah Matthews, and Matthew Dellinger. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Swartz; her granddaughter, Jessica Swartz; her grandson, Thomas Yeager; her sisters, Dorothy Henry and Constance Burdge and her brothers, Raymond Sweitzer and Ronald Sweitzer.

Her memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 6, 2018, at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Quickel Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Reverend Jason Northridge. A luncheon will follow the burial service at Quickel Fellowship Hall.
