Kathy Gable Obituary
York
Kathy L. (Trimmer) Gable, 57, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, February 17, 2018. She was the loving wife of Kevin M. Gable with whom she celebrated they're 36th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2017.
Mrs. Gable was born in York on July 22, 1960, daughter of the late Ronald and Peggy (Dietz) Trimmer.
She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1978. In her younger years she coached cheerleading for the York Boys Club and ten years as head coach at Northeastern High School.
Kathy was employed as a merchandiser for Rite Aid. She was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, York.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kyle M. Gable of Elizabethtown and Kory M. Gable and his partner, Alison Bray of Lancaster; a brother, Marty Trimmer and his wife, Cathy of York; nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation Tuesday, February 20 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh) and Wednesday, February 21 from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York. Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Kevin Shively. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Dr., P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.

Dear Kevin, Kory, and Kyle,
The most outstanding memories I have of Kathy are cheerleading practices in High School. She was born a cheerleader! Her leadership, athletic ability, and strength helped me become a better leader. We would laugh to the point of crying as we worked on a new cheer, but she always got us back on track with her enthusiasm and infectious SMILE! She was always kind and supportive.
I pray that The Lord gives your family peace that passes all human understanding.

Kathy was such a sweet gal always trying to do what she could for other people. I am so sorry for your loss but she is now in the company of angels and has seen the face of Jesus. She has touched many lives for the better and will be missed and remembered by many. We worked together at York Sheet Metal Works and coached cheerleading together for Boy's Club.
