Lena Mae Ware

EAST BERLIN Lena Mae (Erwin) Ware, 91, passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 27, 2012. She was the wife of Edison A. Ware, who passed on May 28, 2001. Mrs. Ware was born in York on November 23, 1920, daughter of the late Earl E. and Vergie Mae (Heighes) Erwin. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of God, Dover, and passed assistant Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by four children, James D. Ware and his wife, Nancy L. of Dover; Diane S. King and her husband, Barry W. of Dover; Malcolm R. Ware of East Berlin; Keith E. Ware of East Berlin; five grandchildren, Jeffery S. King, Cindy M. Kroft, Michelle A. Mock, Jason D. Ware, and Jarrod E. Ware; eight great grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, daughter-in-law, Patsy D. Ware, York; and a foster sister, Rosalie MaCready of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by a son, Edison A. "Eddie" Ware Jr.; a brother, Leroy E. Erwin; and a foster sister, Margerie Dummer. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Officiating will be Charles D. Latchaw, Church Council President of Mt. Olivet Church of God. Final resting place will be in Mount Rose Cemetery, York. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet Church of God, 1085 Detters Mill Road, Dover, PA 17315.
