Linda L. Giddings

NEW FREEDOM Linda L. (Johnson) Giddings, 70, formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Towson, Md. She was the wife of the late Gene H. Giddings. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday from J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Visitations will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Interment will be in Oakland Church Cemetery, Freeland, Md. Linda was born December 8, 1942, in Baltimore City, Md., a daughter of the late Edward R. and Doris L. (Plain) Johnson. She was employed for Mobilex in Sparks, Md., for 12 years. She enjoyed vacations, the beach, and drinking wine. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Linda is survived by four children, Terri Miller and her husband, Brian, and William Christopher, Jr. and his wife, Amber, all of New Freedom, Tammi Erdman and her husband, Kim of Glen Rock, and Traci Dubel and her husband, Rene of Freeland, Md. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and one sister, Peggy Corbin and her husband, Mike of Baltimore, Md. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joseph R. Royston, Jr. and Luke H. Dubel.
