Louise I. Staley

YORK Louise I. (Kehr) Staley, 91, a resident of Broadmore Senior Living, died Monday August 6, 2012, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Staley. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Fourth United Methodist Church, 1067 E. Market St. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Mitchell Galloway officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Union Church Cemetery, York New Salem. Mrs. Staley was born June 7, 1921, in York, a daughter of the late Erney C. and Bertha (Shue) Kehr. She retired from Associated Wholesalers in York following many years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the AWI Retirees Club. She was a 1939 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Louise is survived by her sons, Dean A. Staley (Beverly) of Boston, Mass., Lynn A. Staley (Debra) of Dallastown, and Kim W. Staley (Maureen) of Medway, Mass.; grandchildren, Adam P. Staley (Shannon), Theresa M. Decker (Jason), Nathan L. Staley, Natalie A. Staley, Nicholas R. Staley, and Erica S. Staley; a great-grandson, Elias T. Decker; a twin brother, Willard Kehr (Mildred) of Jacobus; and a sister, Doris Vogelsong (James) of Allentown. She was preceded in death by siblings, Gladys Smith, Clayton Kehr, Harvey Kehr, Mary Hoffman, and Christian Kehr; and a great-grandson, Hezekiah T. Decker.
