Mark Kauffman Obituary

Mark Alan Kauffman WRIGHTSVILLE Mark Alan Kauffman, 45, passed away Friday morning, September 15, 2006, at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the companion of Lora Reachard, with whom he lived. He was born in York, on March 8, 1961. He worked as an independent truck driver and was a member of the Owner-Operator Independent Driver's Association. Mark was an uncomplicated and hardworking man who enjoyed riding all-terrain vehicles, working on trucks, loved the outdoors and had an adventurous spirit. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Darla (Reichard) and Barry E. McSwine of Windsor; his father and stepmother, Palmer P. and Shannon Kauffman of Thomasville; two sons, Robert Beck of Harrisburg, and Travis McClure of Red Lion; four brothers, Chip Kauffman of Walkersville, Md., Timothy W. Kauffman of Red Lion, David McSwine of Windsor, Wayne McSwine of Brownsville, Maine; three sisters, Beth Ann Kuhn of Red Lion, Donna Armstrong of Harleysville, and Tina Bailey of Thomasville; paternal grandmother, Viola M. Kauffman of Wrightsville; and several nieces & nephews. Viewings will be on Sunday, September 17, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service is on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark A. Fillmore from Ebenezer Baptist Church in Long Level officiating. Burial will be in Shenberger's Chapel Cemetery. Contributions may be offered to the American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.

Please accept our deepest sympathies during this very difficult time. I only got to know Mark briefly, but liked him immediately. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who were close to and cared about Mark.
