Nancy Sandbek-Anderson Obituary

Nancy L. Sandbek-Anderson
York
Nancy L. Sandbek-Anderson, 68, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the York Hospital. She was the wife of Kenneth C. Anderson. Nancy and Kenneth observed their 27th wedding anniversary on November 18, 2015.
Nancy was born in Baltimore, Md. on January 16, 1948, a daughter of the late John C. and Eileen (Powell) Bruns. She was a self-employed Electrologist.
She had a real green thumb and loved working with plants. Nancy was a member of Stewartstown United Methodist Church and attended Living Word Community Church. She was the most giving, unselfish, loving mother, friend, grandmother, and confidante you will ever know. Truly she was 'God's Angel while on earth' way before she went home with her 'Wings!'
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by two daughters, Denise R. Sandbek of Windsor, Kristy L. Hepfer of York; twin sons, Aaron M. Sandbek of Windsor, John M. Sandbek of York; five grandchildren, Britta Godfrey, Ashtyn Smith, Emily Nicholson, and Hannah Calhoun and Felicity; two great-grandchildren, Luna Calhoun and Baby Godfrey (who is on the way). She also is survived by a sister, Barbara Ann Jones of Bel Air, Md.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Family of God Community Church, 147 1st Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356. A visitation/reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Nancy's desire was to assist with her grandchildren's college education. To help fulfill her wish, contributions may be made to a special designated account for Nancy at Peoples Bank, 2587 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356. Thank you for helping her dream come true for her grandchildren.

In my hand, your hand remained in mine; as I wept of my broken heart & breath taken.
I now know you are not alone; as you smile to see the beauty & abundance of your sweet legacy of grandchildren that will know the wonders of your true being & heart. I Love You Momma.

Hi Momma, I miss you so much! I know you are watching over our Emily as she is almost ready to give birth to little Teslyn. Oh how I wish you were here. You would be giving amd helping with so many great creative ideas for her baby shower. Her heart, I know, wishes so badly that you were here as mine. And it breaks my heart as to why you are not. You are still in every breath I take, in every decision I make for my girl. Trying to be the Greatest Momma like you were for me and always will be. I pray you are dancing in heaven with those you loved most, Pop and Grammy. And so many beautiful people that have lost battles but gained there wings too. I Love you!

Nancy was an angel here on earth and I will always remember all the talks and advice she shared. She was so caring and always had a kind way about helping others. I was lucky to have known her for 20 years and I shared many things about my life that I have not shared with anyone else. She never judged but always willing to listen. Miss talking to her in person but do still share with her in spirit and will never forget her

Happy Mother's Day Momma! You are my inspiration, my strength, my smile and air I breathe. Let your angel wings fly high as you deserve so righteously! I miss you so much! Love you, Little Pumpkin

I only knew Nancy for several years, but she was a very caring, resourceful lady! She cared deeply for the Lord Jesus Christ and we had many enjoyable discussions about her personal relationship with Him. She depended much on Him for strength as she went through many trials (which God used to help her learn to look like Christ). My deepest sympathies go to her children, husband Ken and grandchildren whom she loved very deeply and prayed for them often.I'll miss her but I praise the Lord that she is with Him now!

I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Nancy, I always remember her being so kind. Sending big hugs.

I wanted to attend the services for her and to be there with you as you celebrate her life, unfortunately it is at the same time as a birthday party we are to attend further south. Please know we are with you in spirit.
