Patti J. Oberdorff

YORK Patti J. (Bender) Oberdorff, 60, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at her residence under Hospice care after a long fearless battle with breast cancer. She was the loving wife of David L. Oberdorff to whom she was married for 39 years. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Guinston Presbyterian Church, 14130 Guinston Forge Rd., Airville, with her pastor, The Reverend Daniel R. Moore officiating. A private graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl. Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on November 27, 1954, in York, she was a daughter of Evelyn (Brown) Bender and the late Roy Bender. Patti loved math and earned an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from York College and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. She worked part of her career in banking, and thoroughly enjoyed her time as a teacher's aide at Easter Seals and various volunteer positions in the community. Mrs. Oberdorff was a member of Guinston Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking and cross-stitching. Along with her husband, Dave, Patti is survived by her pride and joy, two daughters, Ashley K. Oberdorff and Brittany L. Oberdorff, both of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Wendy J. Ebersole of York and Donna J. Roller of Camp Hill; and five nieces all of whom were much loved by Patti.
