Perry R. Richards, 65, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Carol A. (Jacoby) Richards.
Born March 28, 1951 in Mechanicsburg, a son of the late William A. and Dorothy J. (Fogle) Richards, he was an auto body technician, and had retired from York Kia. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Hawk Gunning Club, West York Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8951, National Nostalgic Nova Club, and the York Street Rod Association. He was also a life member of the Good Sam RV Club.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Richards is survived by his daughter, Mindy S. O'Connor, and her husband, Matthew of Manchester; three grandchildren, Bryor, Dylan, and Jacob Apple; two brothers, Edward Richards of Manchester, and Lewis Richards of Wrightsville; sister, Dorothy Stoner of York; and his adopted family, Phillip and Betty Aman of Greenville, Texas. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Richards; and two brothers, William and Albert Richards.
A service to celebrate Mr. Richard's life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 66 S. Main St., Manchester, with The Rev. Edwina Landry, officiating. A reception with the family will immediately follow the services. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
