Rachel, I miss you so terribly, you had such a way of letting everyone around you feel Loved and cared for. If there ever was an example of what GOD wants us to be like You were that. I miss your breakfast's and coffee, and you rolling your eyes when I asked you to do your chores. When you came into this world you were so beautiful and already had a knowing look about you,and now that you are in heaven to watch over us and to walk with Cordell I feel a peace in knowing you changed so many lives and touched so many people, you are God's Love Forever. I miss you honey

I worked with the teacher who had Rachel in third grade at Ore Valley Elementary. I was assigned to another student that year who had special needs, and on many occasions I worked with Rachel as well. I am so saddened to hear of your loss. She touched many lives with her kindness and beautiful smile. She will not be forgotten. God Bless~ Gina Mumaw

I am so sorry to hear about Rachel. I don't know her. But when i heard about what happen, it just brought memories back when my little sister that died in a car accident Dec.10th,1999. She was 17 years old. It seems like a nightmare. I wish we can just wake up from it. I know Rachel will be sadly missed. They are in a better place now and some day soon we will be with them. If you need anyone to talk to I will be glad to talk. I know you don't know me but it helps to talk when you fell like there is no one out there to listen.

neither of us knew her very well but we both think that she was very brave for what she did. We are both devastaded with what happened to her. She was usually in a pretty good mood when she was at our school and she always had a smile on her face. She had a good heart and we will miss her. Deanna + Loryn

I didn't know Rachel, but wanted to express my condolences to the family. Her heroics spoke volumes about her personality. I wish I had known her after hearing about her. I also lost a 14 year old daughter Annie, who was a student at Dallastown Middle School 2 1/2 yrs ago. She was killed with her best friend, Courtney Brooks in a car accident.

From experience I know that nothing anyone can say relieves the incredible pain you're going through. A friend of mine put it so well when he told me that some people are put here for such a short period of time, but influence an incredibly broad base of others. I think Rachel was just such a person. She thought more of her baby brother than herself. It's a lesson we can all learn.

You were so lucky to have her even for such a short period of time. You'll never get over her loss, we know. You will however, see her in the rising sun, the freshly fallen snow or anywhere you look. She's there. Right at your side. She's there with you. I hope she and her brother are with Annie and Courtney looking down smiling. As a matter of fact, I know she is. May each day allow you to gain strength and hope in your future. Rachel's going to tag along just to make sure you're OK....
