My husband and I were friends with Greg and Ray back in the mid nineties. I adored both men for their humor and caring attitudes. But we drifted further apart over the years.
It's funny, back in October I started thinking about these two men. Thoughts of both kept intruding into my thoughts. I finally googled them, to see where they were and what they were up to with their lives. Imagine my horror when this obituary and news articles told me of their deaths.
Greg, I always thought you had the best smile around, and Ray, your nickname was on the spot, for you had the longest legs. I'll always wonder why you contacted me from the beyond, and tell me to discover the news. May you both rest in piece, and may your bright stars continue to light our hearts in the dark days ahead. Farewell my old friends, farewell.

I never will forget the first time Greg and I met. I was the new clergy person in town, and I got a knock at the door. It was Greg, welcoming me to the community. He took one look at what I had in my hand and told me, "I think we're going to become good friends". It was a copy of MAD magazine. RIP, my friend. Debbie and I will miss both you and Ray, especially around Christmas, when we often heard from one another.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ray and Greg thru my brother. I always enjoyed spending time with them due to their warm personalities and quickness to laugh. It was fun having Greg share his grandkids on facebook. He was so proud. I hope the family can find peace and comfort in love and memories of these two great people. Gone from our lives to soon.

You couldn't have known a friendlier and better couple. I will miss both of them so much, even though we hadn't spoken in years. Just knowing they were around left you feeling there was still good things in the world. The sky is appropriately grey today. I hope you both are at quiet peace and rest.

I received a card from Greg postmarked Sept 30. It was to thank me for thoughts and prayers over the years. I thought it strange. Now I understand. The lights are alot dimmer now.
Prayers of peace and comfort for the family.
It was red day so Greg still had on his red

Greg was a wonderful and caring person. I worked with him for over 20 years and couldn't have done half of my job without his assistance.
