I was in Mr. Hassler’s Homeroom, also had him three years for Physical Education and was on his Varsity Volleyball, Basketball and Track teams. He was a great coach who could both criticize and make you laugh at the same time with some of his unique sayings ! Terry Leik, Marty Eichelberger and Rick Stauffer are a few of my teammates that I remember most, and some are no longer with us . These were the best of times during the mid-50’s at Mt. Rose Junior High School. Jack Wagner

Mr. Hassler was one of the Greatest of the Greatest Generation. He was both serious and funny and HE lit a fire under me to keep on studying. Fond memories!

I had Mr. Hassler for History over 30 years ago at Suburban Junior High and still think of him now and then. He was inspirational and had a great interactive style of teaching. Of all the classes I took, his remains in my memory the most. You could tell he was passionate about history and he passed that on to us as well...
