Rita Lynn Eisensmith, 63, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017. She was born in Charlottesville, VA to Cordelia Sutherland and the late Edward Sutherland.
In addition to her father Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Eisensmith of Mt. Wolf.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Cordelia Sutherland of Charlottesville, VA; sons, David Eisensmith and wife, LaTanya of Mt. Wolf, John Eisensmith and wife, Sarah of Durham, NC; sister, Mary Mayo and her husband, Billy of Ruckersville, VA; brother, Joe Sutherland and fiancée, Susan Hartless of Charlottesville, VA; grandson, Bennett Eisensmith; nephew, Will Mayo; cousins, Preston Gentry, Doug Gentry and Linda Gibson.
Rita is a 34 year veteran of the U.S. Postal Service and was deeply dedicated to taking care of each and every one of her customers who she thought of as an extended family. During her career she shined at downtown Durham, NC, Shrewsbury, Lewisberry, and York Haven Post Office locations.
A Celebration of Rita's Life will be held on Saturday, May 20 at Community United Methodist Church 860 Market St, Mt Wolf, PA 17347. The family will receive friends and family at 10 a.m.; service to begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a gathering at the church.

Rita was a ray of sunshine at the downtown post office in Durham. I was one of her regular customers and will miss her dearly. My sincere condolences go out to her family.
