Robert Orendorff Obituary

YORK Robert Ray Orendorff, Sr., 86, entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Rodriguez) Orendorff and the late Delores J. (Miller) Orendorff. Bob was a gentle, kind man who loved his family and adored his wife, Betty. Born in York, on May 27, 1929, he was the son of the late Jesse A. and Clara M. (Hyder) Orendorff. Robert was an oil burner serviceman with Shipley Humble retiring after 41 years. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church. He was a life member of the Viking Athletic Association, Prince Athletic League, York Moose Lodge, and a former member of the YMCA men's club. He was a Phillies baseball fan. Bob enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and putting puzzles together. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Robert Ray Orendorff, Jr. and his wife, Pat; two sisters, Marlene Snyder and her husband, Walter and Frances Thomas and her husband, Jeffrey; a brother, Raymond Orendorff and his wife, Ruth; and two step children, Richard Mickley, Jr. and his companion, Sheri Tolland and Deborah Allen and her husband, Mark. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Koller Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 2000 W. Market St. in York and 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd at the funeral home. The service will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Hospice, 1412 6th Ave., York, PA 17403.

To the Orendorff Family,
Sorry to hear of Bobs passing. I would often bump into him a the clubs and say hello Mr. Orendorff and he would say Mr. Orendorff how are you. We just shared the same last name. Bob was a very kind man and my thoughts and prayers are with the Orendorff family at this sad time.
